Michael Skobel, Esq is the president and founder of the Skobel Charitable Foundation Inc and the President of Skobel Law PA. Michael Skobel graduated with a Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami and has acquired a number of other licenses and degrees including a BS and MS in mathematics from UF and a license in Real Estate. He has practiced in county, circuit, and federal courts and is primarily focused on various facets of Commercial and Business Litigation. His work also includes real estate transactions, land use, construction law, negotiating contractual disputes and he has vast experience working with community associations.
Michael Skobel believes in hard work and giving back to the community which is evidenced by his accomplishments. Beginning as an academic, Michael, at 17 years old, started graduate school research in advanced theoretical mathematics. Michael's work involved very complicated mathematical proofs involving rigorous attention to detail and pure logic. His results often led to more questions and endless exploration. Michael realized his ability to see all the possible pitfalls and solutions to problems would be very valuable in the practice of law. Having developed sales and negotiation abilities while selling real estate, Michael's combination of skills made him especially suited to handle litigation.
With help from his brothers, Michael took an interest in learning as much as he could about real estate and business. He switched from academia to law and began working at law firms specializing in different areas including real estate, construction, land use, estate planning, and business litigation. After gaining experience in such a wide range of legal specialties, Michael began his own solo law practice. Early on, he performed in various county, circuit, and federal litigation and has closed some of the largest residential and commercial real estate transactions in Alachua County. Michael Skobel is truly unique in his culmination of knowledge in business, real estate, technological innovation, and extensive knowledge of the law.
Then, Michael learned to program computers to integrate with modern software and devices. Michael is a big advocate for the legal profession to keep up with technology and modern lifestyles. Michael handles all the legal work of the Foundation at no charge and helps with hosting fundraising activities and managing the organization to make sure the charitiable purposes are being fulfilled.
Alex Skobel is a founder of the Skobel Charitable Foundation Inc and the President of Skobel Homes. Alex graduated the University of Florida with a BS in Finance and a MS in Building Construction. He got his certified general contractors license and worked for Pulte Homes and Transeastern Homes in Orlando and Jacksonville. Alex had always been interested in innovative green home construction. To begin building energy efficient luxury homes, Alex began Skobel Homes in Gainesville.
Alex builds very high quality detailed luxury homes all of which are energy efficient. Alex has grown Skobel Homes into the largest and most successful luxury home builder in Alachua County. By growing a business during tough economic times, Alex helped stimulate the Alachua County economy. Alex's beautiful girlfriend Loree helps him sell homes with her real estate brokerage Skobel Realty LLC.
Alex has helped start the Skobel Charitable Foundation and is very focused on achieving results in a diverse range of charitable causes. Alex is a major advocate for green initiatives and leads the efforts to create a techhub in Brytan. The Foundation greatly appreciates Alex's philanthropy and altruism.
Adam Skobel is a founder of the Skobel Charitable Foundation Inc and the President of the Starr Property Management LLC. Adam Skobel graduated with a Computer Science degree from the University of Central Florida and has a Community Association Management License. Adam developed the entrepreneurial spirit at a young age. When Adam was 14 years old he created a website called www.Invisionize.com that became a very successful and large forum skin site. While running and managing his internet business, Adam learned many programming languages including Python, C++, and Java. Adam also has significant IT skills with experience in networking, imaging, and hardware.
Adam has also worked for Veraxx engineering and programming flight simulators. After spending some time creating software for the US Department of Defense, Adam decided to expand his career in another direction. Adam created a property management company and began working in Gainesville to be close to his brothers Alex and Michael.
Adam is a great manager and his abilities allow him to achieve great accomplishments. He is major influence helping the Skobel Charitable Foundation to really be able to help people. Adam also leads the innovation education events for the Foundation.
Daniel Bergman is currently a real estate investor and entrepreneur. Dan grew up with small business experience by working for his Dad's catering business. He acquired a wide variety of skills including culinary arts, business administration, and marketing talents. He has shown himself to be a problem solver and detail oriented person. Dan has had experience as a mechanic, landscaper, community organizer, and providing emergency preparedness services. He even studied nonprofits and public administration at the University of Central Florida Graduate School.
Dan has also traveled the world and learned the traditions and values from many different cultures. He spent significant time in England, South Korea, Singapore, China, Israel, Scotland, and Ireland. Dan's hobbies include wrestling, raquetball, basketball, football, and computers. Dan has two dogs and an aquarium of fish at home. He loves spending time taking care of and training his pets.
Nico Apfelbaum is an intelligent attorney. Nico concentrates his practice in the areas of collections, creditors' rights, commercial law and UCC litigation for banks and other institutional creditors. Nico also represents national and international businesses, investors and individuals in a variety of business and contractual disputes. Nico has been recognized as an AV-Preeminent attorney by his peers for his legal ability and adherence to professional standards of conduct, ethics, reliability and diligence.
Nico Apfelbaum attended the University of Florida for both his undergraduate and law school degrees. He graduated his undergraduate degree Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Finance and graduated law school Cum Laude in 2009.
Nico was born and raised in Argentina and he is fluent in Spanish. Throughout his career, Nico Apfelbaum has held a variety of leadership positions in his community as well as leading Hispanic and International organizations.
Mike Brown, Esq. went to the University of Florida where he graduated with Bachelor of Science in Economics and a minor in Criminology. He then went to the FAMU College of Law in Orlando. He developed a strong interest in criminal law and naturally became an Assistant State Attorney for Orange County. He acquired years of trial experience while working hard prosecuting criminals and pursuing justice in Orlando. Mike Brown has continued to develop his trial skills in various civil cases.
Mike Brown is currently a member of the Florida Bar and also a member of the Orange County Bar Association. He has been a member of the criminal law committee and the young lawyer's reception committee for the Orange County Bar Association. He also does pro bono work through Teen Court where he volunteers as a Jury Advisor and as a Teen Court Judge. During law school, he was Vice-President of the Federalist Society, Chancellor of the Arts and Law Society, and Vice President of the American Association for Justice (formerly ATLA).
